Surgeon Testimonial

Kirk Sahagian
Dr. Sahagian is amazing! He was always very thorough when explaining things. I always was put at ease because he always reassured me that everything would be fine and I would do great! He always answered anything and everything. I couldn't have had a better surgeon! Thank you! :)

Well...
on April 21, 2012 10:47 am
I am a day shy of 14 months out!  I haven't touched my laptop in 8 months!! Ahhh!!  I wish ObesityHelp.com was an app on my  cell!  Much  more convienent for me!  I currently fluctuate between 146-150 depending if I had drank soda and what time of the day it is haha!  I can honestly say this is the best decision I have ever made!!  Very rarely do I get sick or can't eat anything.  If that happens usually that is due to eating entirely too fast.  I guess I think I have to eat as fast as my bf haha! I don't deprive myself of anything I just have to do it in moderation!   lol  I look forward to reading more post and blogs soon!  Thank you to my surgeon who is amazing at what he does!  I have had absolutely NO complications, leaks, infections or anything of the sort! Good luck to everyone!!

So I was seriously off track and finally getting back on slowly.  I weigh 167 and just started the gym two days ago and it feels great.  I had to go back to like 4 tablespoons per meal 5-6times a day to regulate myself again.  I feel better.  I guess I was over eating and not realizing it.  boo to that!  But I have 17 more pounds til my surgeons goal sooo almost there :)

I am 5 months and 2 days out.  I am FINALLY at 177 and maintaining!  That is a loss of 77 pounds!  My goal is 170 and the surgeon's goal is 150 BUT I am HAPPY!  I look AMAZING and feel better than ever!!  I have been rocking new clothes, getting lots of attention and I LOVE IT!!  I bought my first size 9 jeans two days ago!  Yeah so what they stretch but THEY FIT! haha!  Heels, jeans, and tight shirts were def NOT an option for me for years! I love all them now!!  I started hanging out with a GREAT guy who treats me like a queen and makes me feel beautiful and banging all the time!!  Can't go wrong with that! :) :)  Thank you to my surgeon for this wonderful tool!  :) :)

So I haven't lost a ton of weight since my last post, but I have been stuck at 194.  I am not complaining as I haven't been under 200 in AGES!  Probably longer than I would like to admit to :).  I started drinking more water and using a tad of crystal light in my water bottle to give it a slight taste.  I dropped the last few pounds I think from not drinking as much of the vitamin water zero stuff.  It has good vitamins in it but a few carbs.  Probably not enough to make a difference.. but I drink more water than the vitamin water and I feel a little better.  The only calcium I like are the bariatric advantage (i think) lemon chewy bites.  Only 250mg of calcium citrate per chew but it makes me feel like I am eating candy even though its sugar free n my calcium lol!  Can't go wrong with that! :)  But I had 2 or 3 days where my pouch was angry and didn't let me anything but mashed potatoes with some corn or peas mixed in it.  Not the best choice, but I was happy to get something down besides water!  I also noticed that I have to boil my chicken and then back for a few minutes as opposed to just bake it.  If I boil it first, it tends to stay more moist for me and I don't feel sick.
I still find it funny when I buy meat and come home and separate it into little sandwich baggies.  I buy the chicken breast strips instead of the chicken breast.  I separate 2 strips into each baggie.  When I cook them, I boil them, cut them up and either soak them up in bbq sauce and pop them in the toaster oven for a few and enjoy!  Or I will boil them, cut them up, and put some all purpose seasoning on them and enjoy!  When I buy country ribs, I only can put one in each baggie.  I boil it and cut it up and soak it in bbq sauce and pop it in the toaster oven for about 10 mins and enjoy!  I also found that at Wal-mart they have single servings of vegatables.  Thank goodness!  I was so worried about how the heck I was going to do with these cans lol.  I was super glad to have veggies added back into my food!  Only thing that isn't 100% healthy for me is the white cheddar popcorn that I love so much.  I have to watch how much I eat because I don't get full off of it.  I think its about the only thing I feel like I have a bottomless pouch with.  So as long as I keep it in moderation, I am okay.  That is how I feel about it.
Well I posted more than I intended to!  Sorry for rambling :)

My Story

Hey everyone!  My name is Tia!  I have ALWAYS been overweight.  It didn't seem like that big of a deal to me til I was about 13 and been on and off anti-depressants since.  I have borderline hypertension.  On my mother's side of the family, her brothers are obese and moribly obese.  One had a heart attack at the age of 30 and had a pace maker put in.  And my mother on many occasions has cried while talking to me saying that I am to young to have a heart attack and she doesn't want to out live me.  I started the Baraitric program at Womack on Fort Bragg on October 18, 2008.  I was getting everything done and thought score I can get it done in like Jan/Feb.  Yeah.. until I got this awesome letter stating that I have to go to nutrition classes for 6 months.  Ahhhhhh I was ANGRY!!  But I have my ending appts in late May early June so I am praying that June/July I will have surgery.  I can't wait to be able to do alot of things.  I want to be able to not be on anti-depressants EVER AGAIN, be able to walk into a store and not sweating if this was made a little to small and won't fit my fat ass.  I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without wanting TO DIE cause I am out of breathe so badly. It would be nice to not feel embarassed to wear a bathing suit.  I will add other things I can't wait to do at a later time.  I just want to thank everyone for their GREAT advice and the blogs and post because you guys put out alot of GREAT information and has helped me dearly!  Thank you :)

Well Scratch the whole Colorado thing!  We are in Ft Campbell now.. we shall see what happens or if I can get back in the program!
