    ~~~~~~CONGRATULATION S ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY~~~~~~ (Everything in our lives happens for a purpose and that purpose is to prepare us) May God give you courage, strength and guidance throughout your new journey. You are about to embark on the most amazing transformation of you mind, body and soul. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Sending Prayers your way that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands. May the guardian angels wrap their loving arms of protection around you during your surgery and recovery. Boy has time flown by...  Great news! I have lost 120 lbs.  I weigh 134. I just cant believe it..  I ordered this summers Bathing suit from Victorias Secret.. I love it.  I love my new life.. Things are great! Seems like I never have time to come online and post.  I need to get some updated pictures.  Still this surgery has been the best thing i have ever done for myself!!!

It is has been 1 year since my surgery, 1 year since I smoked..  and 1 year since I changed my life forever...  I said good bye to old negitive things..  and Hello to a new life..  I have lost 112 lbs.  I weigh 142..  I thought I was done along time ago, but it continues to come off..  It just amazes me..  I have seen a plastic surgeon..  Anyone have $40,000???  That is how much it will cost for everything I want done.  $20,000 for lower body lift.. So I will get a loan to get that first.  This summer, I think..  Pay that off. then get the next $20,000 for my boobs and thighs.. My brother said, dont you want a house instead???  I said no..  I will get all these things done and get a man to buy me a house..  hee heee.  Just kidding..  I want both..  A house and PS..  Too much to ask for??  We will see..  I have got to take pictures soon.  My friend Keith is a awesome Photog..  He keeps asking when he will get to take pictures..  Maybe I will let him..  
I dont look that bad.. In clothes...  hee heeee..

10 months Post Op- 106 lbs gone forever!!

I just cant believe that I have lost 106 lbs!  I weigh 148 lbs..  Is that insane???  My family had a 100 lbs loss party for me..  (see pictures) I am only 8 pounds away from goal..  Then I will have PS.  I have an appointment for a free consult in Oct.  On the event board of OH a PS in my area is putting on a free seminar.  I am going.. I will see what his advise is.  I want a lower body lift. but my gosh..  the scar is crazy.. I am super nervous about that..  Totally not nervous about the boobs though.  I am totally going for a D cup..  Nice a big..  lol..  I was promoted once again at work..  My income has tripled in the last 2 years..  So I have moved up 3 positions in 5 years at my job.  Not to bad.. I am now looking for a house for me and my two boys..  I can finally afford The OC..  And it seriously has to do with my self confidence and this surgery..  I love it, and so happy with everything..

Hawaii!!!!

I had the greatest time ever!  We stayed in Waikiki!  I went with My friend Barbie and her 2 Girls. We had a Hurricane that was headed straight for us and missed us.  The Big Island got it bad.  They had a earth quake, hit by the hurricane and a tsunami warning..  So glad we were on Oahu.  I took a suit case of food just in case.  I was so nervous I wasnt going to be able to find anything to eat..  Or just be sick the whole time.  I only got sick once.  We found this Restaurant that had a buffet for every meal.  It is called Dukes, right on the water. I told them about my surgery and asked if I could just be charged for a kids buffet $5.95 vs $15.95.  I didnt think they would do it, but to my surprise they said yes!  and to top it off, the manager came out and introduced his self and had all kinds of questions for me.  He said he has someone close to him that was considering it.  I told him my story and gave him this website!  Nothing made me sick there..  crab legs, stuffed salmon with macadamia nut sauce.. Can you say Yumo!!!.  it was the greatest! We went to the beach everyday, I went snorkling, rode on a boogie board, sunned my white body! It was just amazing..  I never once felt bad about myself, I let my scars and stretch marks hang out.. lol..  didnt even care..  I cant wait to have PS now..  I was all looking at girls and saying, I want my boobs to look like that.. Hee heee.. I want my butt to be like that..  lol..  
If you get a chance to do anything for yourself..  Go to Hawaii..  It was the best!!!

100 pounds gone for ever!!!

I cant believe it!  I sit here and think to myself..  OH MY GOODNESS..  I have lost a Nicole Richie!!  LOL..  Honestly though.  I am just amazed what this surgery has done for me and my life..  On top of a 100 lbs loss, I have 9.5 months of being smoke free.  I think that is a miracle in itself..  I still struggle with it everyday.  but it is getting easier..  I only have 15 lbs to lose to get to my goal..  I wear a size 10 comfortably.  I want to try to get in a size 7.  I think I will have to wait till after I have PS to do that though.  We will see..  size 7 with a 36D bra!!!  lol..  Thats what I want..  hee heee..  I leave for Hawaii on August 10th and I cant wait to do all the things I would of never of done 100 lbs ago..  It will be amazing!  Thanks to all of you that have supported me though this..  I couldnt of done it without you!

My Story

I am a single mom of 2 beautiful boys, 15 & 20. My oldest son is mentally ill and will need care for the rest of his life. I had WLS to ensure I would be around to take care of him. So far so good..

I have been big all my life but didn’t become "huge" till after my son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia 4 years ago. I put on 60 lbs. I am 5'5 and at the time of surgery I weighed 254. I know I am on the small side of WLS but my health was going down fast. The day of surgery my blood pressure was 167/93 and that was on major medication. I was border line diabetic. My triglycerides were also very high. I already had knee surgery and needed it on the other. I was on antidepressants and also something to help me sleep. I was on a bad road and wanted to fix it before it got worse. My Aunt died of obesity at only 52. I didn’t want that for me.. So WLS is what I chose and I would never take it back!
