Tim- firmly believing that you WILL be well and this WILL pass and you WILL succeed. I know it may feel awful right now, but I just know that you are strong and you are meant to be here and you will be fine, in fact better than ever- I will say a prayer or three that you are no longer in pain but recovering well.

Honeymoon is Over.....
on October 28, 2008 8:05 am
Some people, heading in to the WLS have an unrealistic goal that they are going to lose a huge amount of weight. Realistically, you may not.

Me, I have lost weight, but I have come to a stall. mostly because I am off track. I am drinking in too many calories, grazing, and not able to get in enough protien. I have been fighting the carb craze. I am finding myself evading the ramifications and rules of the pouch. I have all but self destructed. Fact is, the honeymoon is over. Time to get back to the basics. Time to WORK.

having said that, I may not lose more than 50 more lbs. If this is true, others may see me as a failure. I am not. I am grateful for EVERY pound lost...and every bit of my mobility, health, and habits gained.

Re-evaluate your idea of what success is. I have, and I have found liberty...freedom....thankfulness.
