Surgeon Testimonial

Jorge Sosa
I HAD GONE TO ONE OF DR. SOSA'S SEMINARS ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED BUT I THOUGHT SURGERY WAS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME. HERE I AM 3 YEARS LATER ABOUT TO HAVE DR. SOSA PERFORM GASTRIC BYPASS ON ME AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I HAVE HEARD THE TESTIMONIALS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE EPERIENCED HIS WORK INCLUDING MY BEST FRIEND AND EVERYONE HAS THE SAME THING TO SAY ABOUT HIM, HE IS GREAT! I FEEL VERY LUCKY THAT DR. SOSA IS GOING TO BE MY SURGEON AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO BE MY TURN ON MARCH 2ND.

3 Months post-op
on June 4, 2010 6:11 pm
So two days ago I became oficially 3 months post op. I have lost over 50 pounds and I feel good, but I dont feel like im losing anymore.
I want to lose like I was in the first few weeks!! I'm eating just about everything now, still taking my protein, however I'm only taking it once a day. I have protein whey the chocolate flavor and I drink it in the morning before I go to work, but it gets me too full thats why I don't drink it at night anymore. I am experiencing a little bit of hair loss, but thank God I have a lot of hair and my hair is very thick so its actually not that bad, I just hope it doesn't get worse. I am still taking my two vitamins a day every day also and I am now taking a calcium supplement or I eat some calcium chews (sugar free of course!)  Also I am looking into getting some B12 vitamins becuase I heard that is very important also. The one thing that I am Really Really worried about is that I can't stop GRAZING!!!   All day long I chew on almonds, or peanuts or anything I can get my hands on, which is usually not food with any kind of nutritional value whatsoever and then when its finally time for lunch I can't eat my food because I am so full!! I really need to stop doing that!!    Another bad thing. . .well depending on how I look at. . . .is that I have not experienced any dumping syndrome. My best friend had her gastric bypass over a year ago and she can eat cake and drink soda and eat cookies. . .etc. . .to a certain point. Like she can't eat a whole piece of cake or a whole can of coke. So she told me just to try, that I shouldn't be afraid to try to eat sugary things so that I
don't feel deprived, soooooo I did. And I can eat a little bit of cake, I can drink a little bit of soda, I can eat a starburst and some skittles, and not get dumping. While I am eating these sinful things I am bracing myself for that sudden impact of dumping (well this is what I was told) but I don't get it. So thats good but BAD. And the worst part about drinking soda is that the moment that you drink some soda. . .you want more, the caffeine is so addicting . SO I am going to try my best to stop "grazing," drink more water during the day, and also stop eating sugary foods. I want to lose another 50 pounds so I just have to eat right and try to fit in some exercise. Ok well I hope everyone is doing well. Now I am going to sleep aaaaaah I love to sleep!!
