Surgeon Testimonial

Norbert Richardson, M.D.
On my initial consultation with Dr. Richardson I was blown away by how crowded his office waiting room was. Upon meeting with him, he seemed very nice and told me that he would schedule me for surgery within a week. Not realizing that all of my paperwork had not been completed. He appologized for the misunderstanding and explained that I still needed to do some testing. He is very nice for a man who is so busy. My first impression was that he was a man who takes on a lot of patients and is stretched very thin.rnI didnt like that this doctor is stretched so thin that he seems not to have enough time to sit and explain things thoroughly. I think if he was asked questions he would take the time, but patients need to be sure to go in with a list of questions and make sure that they speak up to get their answers.rnI do feel like I need to add that the offiice staff in Saint Alexuis office are very overwhelmed, and maybe even understaffed. I had some of my paperwork misplaced which could have been a bigger hastle if I had not been on top of this.rnI would use this same surgeon again if I had to do this over again. He was great at the hospital and seemed sincere when he was at my bedside the morning of surgery.

2 Months ALREADY!!
posted on 11/9/09 9:58 pm
It is so hard for me to believe that it has been two months since I had my surgery. Wow the time has flown by. I have made so many changes in my life that I never thought were possible. The way I eat, what I eat, what I won't eat, and exercise. I think I have amazed so many people that are close to me. More so I have amazed myself. I know that to some people this surgery seems to be the easy way out. Those are simply people that have never been in my shoes. It is far from the easy way out. It is alot of hard work, mentally, physically as well as emotionally. However at this point in my fight to change my life, I wouldn't change what I have done. I cant say exactly what I weigh today, I don't have access to a scale today but I am estatic to know that I last weighed in at 214 pounds. To think that I was 260 pounds when I started this journey in August is amazing. I am really excited to think about my weigh in in another 2 months from now.
