Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I was always fat in every picture ever taken of me. I was an only child, my dad quite a bit older than my mom and never told no when it came to requests for ice cream/candy/coke, etc. UNTIL, I became a teen and my mother decided I needed to lose weight. Every summer when school let out, she would start w/you're going on a diet and we'll see how much you can lose by the time school starts back-they won't even know you. One summer, I was so hungry from her diet that when we went to the store I grabbed a jar of jiff peanut butter, hid in the corner and ate 1/3 of it w/my bare fingers, then put the top back on, dropped and ran. Breakfast at my house was always: fried meat, biscuits, gravy or cinnamon/orange danish rolls, toast was broiled in...
