I have heard from the Regional Bariatric Assessment and Treatment Centre in Windsor.  When I spoke to them they said that Hamilton Hosp. had forward  my application onto them.  So I have an appointment for an orientation class for July 16Th 1-3pm.  I'm hoping my husband can come with me if he can get the day off.  
He and I have been fallowing Atkins for about six weeks and I have lost about 15lbs. of coarse he has lost about 20.  Men loose so much faster than women!!  If I want to be honest with myself I am scared to have this surgery.  It is so life changing.  As well with working in a hospital myself I have seen it all and the possible complications there are with surgery.  If I have this done will I regret it in the future.  From looking at all the experiences of other people I haven't heard any of them regretting it.  Well I will go to the class and listen to all they have to say then make my decision.

It's May and I haven't heard anything from Hamilton.  Soon it will be three months.  I start to have doubt's about this and think I should try dieting on my own.  I have not had any permenant sucsess with any diet I have tried in the past.  But it would be a start towards something.  A friend and I have been on the Atkins diet before and had some success although I have gained it back.  I think I will try this while I am waiting to hear from Hamilton.  It can't hurt!

I had my sleep study yesterday night.  It was a bit unexpected as I wasen't suppose to have it until July 27.  They called me at the last minute 8:30pm and asked if I wanted to come in that night as soon as I could get their.  This was at LHSC South Street Campus.  Fortunately I have worked their in the past and know the building so could find my way easily.  It was good to get it done with and have something started towards my journey to better health.  They were able to do both the sleep study and try me out with a cpap machine.  Now I am awaiting to see the Dr. to find out what the testing showed.  Obviousely I need a cpap for one thing.  Oh well me and my husband can sleep side by side with a cpap on.  Hope their is still room for the dog!!!

My Dr referred me to Hamilton't Bariatric Surgary Program.  I'm not sure why he did this as oposed to Guelph.  I guess they are about the same distance from London.  Has anyone been referred to them?  They said I should hear from them within the next 3-5 months.

 I have been a member of this site for a few month's now but have never written anything down.  I thought I should change that and come out of the nest so to speak.  It's time to speak out! 
  I have alway's had issues with my weight like everyone on this sight.  That's why we are here.  This is something I have been thinking about for a long time.  I don't rush into things and this is such a life changing decision.  I saw my family Dr last week and he agreed that I should go for the surgary.  He will start the paper work needed for this long process.  I think it is okay that it will take a long time.  It gives me more time to think about this.
  As you can probably tell I am not 100% certain about this.  I am the sort of person who alway's has doubt's about things before I do them.  So here I go!!
