Update!! 11/17/07
I LOVE YOU DR. MOAZZEZ! My life has changed. I feel so much better now that the weight is off. I was at 244 lbs and am now at 146 lbs! Only 20 more to go! (12/19/06 surgery date)

UPDATE!! 05/06/2007
Although the weight is coming off slow, I am still grateful!! I am down 60lbs!!!! YEA!!!

Update!! 3/13/2007
My life has changed so much. I am now down 46lbs!!!! I actually went jogging with my 11yr old son. How cool is that!!! Thank you Dr. Moazzez for helping me get my life back. I love you and your wonderful staff!!!

Update!! 1-14-2007
My surgery was uneventful. It was great! Dr. Moazzez is a great man! I love him. He has given me a wonderful gift/tool to work with.

Well, to be honest the first thing I thought when I first met him was that....he was a very nice looking man! Okay, once I got past that detail....my impression of him was that he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I had been to several other seminars, but his was the most informative. Not only did I obtain a wealth of valuable information, but he was very patient. He did not seem t mind answering all the questions from the audience. My impression has just gotten better. His staff is Great!! During my one on one, he was yet even more informative. He is great! He is very serious about his pre-op plan. His after care program is awesome. I have appointments set up till June 17, 2007! He is very compassionate and doesn't make you feel bad. He also has a great sense of humor. I rate him a 10!!! I have not had my surgery yet (12/19/07). I continue to hear nothing short of great stries regarding his work! His bedside manner....what can I say....Great!!!!

It's been awhile since I posted. While I am happy to have had this surgury, I must admit that I thought I would be smaller by now.  I am curently 146 lbs down from 244lbs.  I am still considered overweight!!  If I can just get those last 20 lbs off! I have not lost in 3 months...talk about a major stall! OMG, WHEN WILL IT END!!   I currently wear a size 10 or 8 depending on who makes it.  I'll check back later.....

I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to have this surgery.  I feel so much better about myself.  Today I weighed in at 178 lbs.  I haven't seen that weight in years!!!

Well, my weight has begun to drop again.  I can finally see a difference now.  It's amazing.  I am now down to 191lbs.  I can't remember the last time I weighed that.  I am soo happy.  I feel a lot better.  I actually went jogging this past weekend for almost an hour with my 11 year old son.  Of course I was sore afterwards, but it was so worth it.   I still have not purchased any new clothes.  My husband keeps telling me I need to, I guess I am scared to throw away my old one and get new ones.  Maybe I will try to buy a pair of pants.  We'll see.   WOO HOO!! My life is changing for the best!!!!!

Okay, my weight loss is really slow.  I'm freaking out here.  What if I fail.  I am now at 198lbs.  That's 30 lbs since surgery 12/19/2006.

My Story

Well, my first post!!!  I am hoping to have surgery.  I'm 5'4 weighing in at a whopping 237 lbs.  Not my biggest either.  I am tired of being tired. I'm tired of having to go in the big girls section to purchase clothes.  I'm tired of being depressed.  I'm tired of having low to NO self-esteem.  I'm tired of being fat!  I am just tired of being tired.  So, here I am trying what I feel is my last hope for happiness as it relates to my weight.  

I've been on this site for a couple of months.  Mainly just reading different posts and looking at before and after pictures.  I just have to say that this site ROCKS!!!  Everyone is so supportive of each other.  I can't tell you how many times I've cried due to your support and encouraging words to one another.  Tears of joy......

My thyroid has been abnormal for about 10 years.  During the last few years they have been getting better.  I worried that my insurance company would deny me if they were not in normal range.  Happy to report.....My thyroid tests were normal!! WOO HOO!!!!!  GOD is great!!!

I will be submitting my paperwork to my surgeon's staff this week for insurance submission for approval.  I will post back when I hear something.
