Hey There!  My name is Tobi and I had the Lap-Band Procedure 07/24/08. I am so excited! I have been overweight for most of my life but extremely overweight for the last 11 years. I made the decision for WLS to get my life back.  I have created this profile to make some friends and get some support. My husband and kids have been great since the procedure-but really can' relate to what I am going through mentally.  I Can't wait to share my experience with you all!

Kudos From My Doctor

Today I went to see Dr. K because I have been experiencing a lot of throbbing in my esophagus--like gas is trapped.  It is a horrible feeling.  He said I will need to keep a log when it happens of what I ate that day and BEWARE!!  So we shall see.  anyhow I am down 110lbs and he told me I am a true success! That made me feel great!  Then I received a certificate and a little gold pen.  It had Lapband and 100 on it because I am officially down over 100 lbs!!!  It was an exciting moment.  Once this gas thing is under control--everything will be wonderful!

Down 100 LBS!

I am very happy to say that when I started this journey I weighed 276 lbs  - Today I weigh 176!!!  I weigh as much as my husband--in 18 years I have never been abel to say that! I had my surgery 1 year and 2 weeks ago!  My life has changed tremendously! I am happy, healthy and a fun person to be around!  I am so happy I had lap band surgery.  It has not been easy but I wouldn't change it for the world!

It's been awhile...

Hey Everyone!  I have not been on OH in awhile.  I am hoping everyone is well.  I am doing good. I have lost a total of 79 lbs now and I am finally below 200lbs!!  WOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I weigh 197!!!  My doctor seems to think I will be at 100 lbs lost by my 1 year anniversary. That makes me happy!

There are times I plateau--but the weight eventually starts coming off again. 

Now that the weather is finally getting warmer in CO--I am ready for some outdoor activities.  Today instead of driving to pick my son up from daycare--I will be walking!!!  The winter was long and hard to keep motivated with exercise--when it is dark out I don't want to do it--and there were a lot of dark days!!

I notice myself wanting to do a lot more activities lately--like bowling and riding bikes and I may even try golfing with my husband--who knows???  LOL!

That is enough for me for now!!  I will catch up later!!  Time to go read everyones sites and see how well you are all doing!

Christmas Self-destruction

I had lots of pecan pie and cake over the last couple of days!  Boy am I glad the holidays are over!  I really tried to refrain from eating the junk but found myself sneaking a piece of pie a day almost every day since Christmas!  Today was the 1st day I did not!  I think I am over it now.  Today I went back to eating only when I was hungry and not grazing! 

My weight is 225.  I have not weighed under 230 for 11.5 years.  I am feeling great.  I even notice myself trotting up and down my stairs rather than huffing and puffing.  I don't have any pain in my knees anymore either.  Every day I wake up I thank the Lord for this surgery! 

I just wanted to update and say hello to everyone!

42 LBS DOWN

YAY!!!!  I AM DOWN 42LBS!!! 
I leave for California tomorrow to see my family for my cousins wedding and I haven't seen my extended family since pre-surgery.  I am very excited to go home. I feel this is a huge accomplishment. Thank you all for your support.
