I had gastric bypass in 2001.  I lost about 160 lbs and since then have gained back approximately 40 lbs.  I never reached even close to what I should have gotten down to.  I am scheduled for a lap band on April 23, 2009.  I am excited and yet soooo nervous.  There are so many fears that I have.  I'm older now and how will my recovery be?  Will I be successful this time around?  Can I conquer my demons of food?  I know that this is the perfect time in my life to do this.  I have the best husband and daughters, along with an extremely supportive family...I couldn't ask for more.  But inside is a constant battle with my enemy food.  But will my dreams of freedom from this weight conquer all?  Here's hoping that it will!
