Surgeon Testimonial

George Kazantsev, M.D.
Dr K was wonderful and warm. He took time to respond to all questions. rnThe office staff is wonderful. Most of them have had this surgery and can relate to the problems you face. You can reach someone when your have problems who will have god advice. rnrnDr K was very good at explaining what could go wrong. They even had a patient come in who had a lot of problems and large scars. This was very good. We had time to ask the patient questions. She was very happy with the final outcome. rnrnDr K is great. Sadly he is no longer doing this type of surgery. He has moved to Kaiser as a general surgeon.

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I am an emotional eater and found it hard to stick to any diet for long. Stress would make me want to eat. I felt like I would always be heavy.

Eight Months melt downs
on February 25, 2009 5:03 pm
Ok here is my first blog. I am down to 156 now and very happy about that. I am starting to have little melt downs though. Yesterday I went to get ready for work and nothing would fit. I just started wearing size 14 in Jan and now they hang on me. I don't have an unending supply of clothes. I can't afford to keep buying new stuff for only a few weeks or months.
I was just sobbing. We settled on a plan to go to the thrift store and by some size 12's and 10's.
It is depressing to find something I like to wear only to have it not fit a few months later. I know this sounds silly. I should be glad I am losing but I find keeping myself in clothes is becoming more and more of a chore. I an't wait to settle at a size so I can go out and buy a set of clothes that I will have for a while.
I also had a melt down when I came home and went to fix dinner. There was no dressing for the salad and no crackers for the soup. Yet it seemed a waste to run to the store to by these things when dinner would only be six bites any way.
My hubby is a sweety and he ran out and got what I wanted. I don't think he understands, he just does what he can to make it better.
