David Lee, M.D
Dr. David Lee is AWESOME! Incredibly good looking, caring, wonderful bedside manner and I must say he made this surgery as pain free as humanely possible. The office staff is great, although Nurse Christine can appear to be a little 'hard' - she is ONLY concerned and is extremely knowledgable. rnrnTheir support groups are wonderful but only held 2 times per month (not bad, really, several surgeons only hold one per month). They are prompt in answering and returning phone calls, emails, you name it.rnrnWouldn't change a thing if I could - Dr. Lee and Columbus Regional TOTALLY respected me, my needs, my weight and have followed through with me from the get-go. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE! I will respect it and live healthy for the rest of my life.

I had lap RNY on 6-1-06 by Dr. David Lee in Columbus, IN (my hero...). I did very well after surgery, educated myself and became more healthy than I ever imagined I could. My GNC guru neighbor lady turned me on to a GREAT tasting protein (I was struggling) called Maximum Protein (anyone interested can call the manufacturer at 1-305-635-6220 to find out where to buy it locally). God I loved this stuff from the 1st taste and still do to this day. I truly believe finding that protein made my weight loss journey MUCH easier AND kept me healthy to boot. I've probably tried another $700 in protein shakes from all over and can't stand the taste of any of them except for the Maximum Protein. OH! I started my journey at 240lbs and have maintained at 114-116lbs now for over 1 year.
Sam (the love of my life, and now my hubby) started out at 410lbs when he had wls in August, 2005 with Dr. Hosein Yesrabi in Jacksonville, FL. Sam didn't quite spend the time that I did educating himself and went back to eating what he ate before surgery but less of it. His weight loss was fairly slow (after the initial honeymoon phase of the surgery) and he eventually stalled and started to regain a few pounds when we first met. (honestly? He was eating terribly....half of a Firehouse sub (instead of a whole!), etc...yikes!) Since we married in June, 2007 and I've turned him onto the protein shakes and healthy cooking, he's lost another 25 lbs (so far!) and is going to be consulting with Dr. Y next week about having Plastic Surgery. I'm soooo proud of him!
Ahhhh, and how did Sam and I meet? I wanted to find someone who had gone through the same thing I had - someone who had made the decision with his life to be as healthy as I had chosen to be with my own life. I did an online search for a single man with gastric bypass, and God led me to Sam. Unbelievable how well we get along and are 'in tune' with one another. I've even got Sam singing now (and he's verrrrrrry good!). Life is awesome
