Surgeon Testimonial

Denis Halmi, M.D.
I immediately liked Dr. Halmi. He has a quiet spirit, but was very knowlegable and to the point, which I appreciate. His staff has been great. They are really on top of it and they kept me informed along the way. Dr. Halmi's pre-op and after care are very structured and you get tested for everything under the sun prior to surgery. I am comfortable with the choice I made having Dr. Halmi as my surgeon and I'm looking forward to my new journey!!!

4 Weeks Post-Op Tomorrow!!!
on February 1, 2011 7:58 am
I can't believe that I will be 4 weeks post-op tomorrow!!!  WOW!!!  It took 10 months for me to have my surgery and now it's over.  All-in-all I can't complain.  The first day was fine, but day 2-5 I was pretty miserable.  The trapped gas, hating everything I smelled, being nauseous UGH!!!  I was pretty miserable!!!

Today I feel good.  I'm still learing my new sleeve. Things I use to like I don't like anymore, but I'm happy with the decision I made.  I experiment with different mushies and I eat what I like.  I look good :-) and I feel good!  I have tons more energy that I ever had.

Yesterday was my first day back and I got so many compliments I was a little embarrassed :-)  I did really well during the day, but by the time I got home all I wanted to do was get in the bed and go to sleep...which is exactly what I did.

I hate very protein drink out, but I hold my nose and get it done, because I know it is necessary!!!

My first goal is to lose 50 pounds from my highest weight which was 278.  I have 2.8 pounds to lose before I reach that first goal YAY!!!!

I'm so excited to see what the future holds and pray that each day just gets better and better!

First day of my liquid diet
on December 22, 2010 1:00 pm
Well....today is the first day of my liquid diet.  Today was not as bad as I thought it would be.  I'm just going to take it one day at a time.  I'm a little hungry right now, but not starving.  Hopefully, it won't go too far down hill :-)
