I just had my one year anniversary and one year check up.  I originally set a goal of 150 lbs.  During this journey, I made a decision that it did not matter what the scale really said.  All I wanted was to get healthy.  By healthy I wanted to have a BMI of normal.  At 5'7" my weight would have to be 159lbs to get a BMI of normal.  I went to my doctors appointment with the thouht that I was going to be a few pounds short of the goal.  I was completely okay because I knew that I had the rest of my life to get that two lbs off.  So I stepped on the scale and looked over to see what it said.  I weighed in at 158lbs which puts my total weigh loss in a little over a year at 144 lbs.  WOW!  I thanks God every day for provding this journey for me.  Now I must focus on maintaining my weight so that I can continue with a normal BMI.
