Surgeon Testimonial

Andrew DeWitt, M.D.
Dr. DeWitt is a very professional doctor who shows concern for his patients. He is the person you want to have that knows the "details in doctor terms" but can explain them in terms for you to understand. His staff does a great job. Each time you call they always seem like they care. Beleive me that is a plus! I have been in the medical field and no one likes to be treated unkind.
Dr. DeWitt holds seminars for those who are insterested in gastric bypass or lap bands and I would recommend that you attend a class before you totally comitt to making the journey.
****With the help of Dr. DeWitt and My Heavenly Father above I have overcome most of my obesity and am leading a healthy, more productive life. Thank goodness for the knowledge that Dr. DeWitt has and the goodness of his heart to take me as a patient. Dr. DeWitt could see I had potential to become a better person both physically and mentally.

Weight Loss has always been a problem for me and I have always been a "rather big girl" all my life. My story can be read below.
I am still learning about all this so if you have any ideas to help me Please feel free to drop me a line and tell me. My RNY was on Nov. 3rd in Birmingham, Al at Carraway Methodist Hospital. My physician was Andrew DeWitt.
I am now one week post opp and doing my best to follow the program and learn all I can to become a healthy, better person.

Take care and May God Bless,

Today I went to the doctor with my parents. Mom is 82, Dad is 84....

Dad was told he has Lymphoma. The doctor removed one of the places in his neck but the cancer is already in the lymph nodes.....he has another mass in his stomach.

I have thought about this and have already gave him to God because God is Greater than I and he possesses the medical healing that I cannot give to my Dad. I am hurt and do not understand why God lets this happen to the Warriers. My Father has lived a full and prosperous life. He has been my Rock and keep me in the right Christian Path all my life. My Dad will make it to see his 85th birthday this Sunday, Oct. 12th....I plan to bake him a cake Saturday and take it to him.

I hope and pray that he and Mom will outride this storm. They have been married for 64 years and what a JOY that must be.

Take care and keep my family in your prayers.....ty

HELLO EVERYONE,  Life if being good to me and I am doing my best to maintain it the best I can these days. I still have kept the weight off and try to maintain around 168-172 all the time now.

Not sure if anyone else is like me or not but I vary sometimes and then loose it again so that is why I say I maintain....

Happy FALL to everyone. This is my favorite time of the year and I love it. Hope to ride toward Cheawah Mountain in the next few weeks and see the leaves turning....in the mountains.

Keep God in your heart and keep me in your prayers.

UpDate on Tana Mallard

Well, I am great, doing wonderful. Maintaining my weight loss and still loving it. My husband has been in and out of the hospital again. He is dieing and has been told that he has aroun 3-4 years to live. We found out three weeks ago that his heart is now diseased along with his liver, his spleen, and his pancreus.......from the hemochromatosis that he has. It is an iron storage disease. His body makes too much and it has damaged all his major organs. He got it from both his parents. Both parents carried the disease and when their children were produced..Wes inharreted the disease from his parents.

Just remember the lord has plans for each one of us so I am not giving up at all. I have my faith and trust in the Lord to supply my needs.

*******9\11\08 - If my brother was living he would turn 62 today.

Another Day
on August 25, 2008 3:55 pm
Hello Everyone,

Another Monday is here and we all get to start the week over again. Let me just say Thank you Lord for allowing me to make it this far.
I look forward to each and every day, each morning, each afternoon, each evening to be here on this earth.
Not only has weight loss been a great inspiration for me but it has opened my eyes and ears more into what God has allowed to happen in my life.
If you need a friend to talk too, a little inspiration to keep you going, let me know. I might help you.

Take care and have a "Blessed Week"

Happy August
on August 11, 2008 3:01 pm

Hello Everyone, Today is August 11th. We are almost halfway threw this month. Wow

I am still doing well and my husband is still sick. His hemochromatosis and diabities have been very bad laterly. Please be praying for us both and may Our Lord touch his body and heal him soon.

I am still happy to report my weight loss and being able to keep it off. I see the woman that I looked too and she has started gaining weight back. NOT saying it can't happen to me just saying I see it can happen.

I hope and pray that I continue to keep mine off and regain my health that I had missed for many years.

I haven't heard from any of you lately so tell me what is going on with your self this summer.

Tana
