I have chosen to do the gastric bypass surgery. I have went to alot of meeting on the topic and talk some friends who has completed the surgery. But still I am afraid it is that small percentage that sits in the back of mind, " What if something goes wrong?" I have six beautiful kids that I currently raising 3 biological 2 nieces and 1 nephew. My brother made his choice to do gastric bypass surgery to late in life. He passed away 1 month before his surgery date in 2005. Now I am currently raising his kids with mine. My surgery is schedule for August 20, 2012. I know in my heart and mind that I made the right choice in doing this surgery, but I am still afraid.
