Surgeon Testimonial

David Suh, M.D.
Dr Suh was wonderful. When I first saw him at a seminar, I noticed the soft voice and demonstrative way he taught the wls procedure. I felt very confident that his knowledge of the surgery and I would be alright. He emphasizes aftercare very insistant and I'm glad he operated on me.

Hi Claudia, Thank you so much for your kind words. You will never know how much it meant to me when I read what you wrote to me. I really appreciate your support. I know this is very belated, and I am sorry for that! Thanks again! Dee

I'm walking 30 minutes a day for 4-5days a week. I'm doing some weight training. I've managed to lose 24 lbs since last February 2005. I need to lose 8 more pounds before I qualify for my 10% weightloss & for weight loss surgery. As of May 2005, I'm down to 295lbs total of 29 1/2lbs gone. My surgery is scheduled for June 22, 2005 at 7:30am Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, Calif. I'm still short 3lbs of my goal, but my liver is not so swollen as before. Last week of May 2005, I got my CPAP machine finally, it took 4 months to get it. I have my pre-op check in on June 16 2005, & last doctor's appointment on June 16, 2005 as well. My weight is 285lbs. Surgery was June 22, 2005, had no complications. I was wheeled into surgery at 7:45am and woke up at 10am. I asked the doctor if I could start walking, 30 minutes after I woke up. He said "no" wait till evening. After surgery everyone said I had rosy cheeks and wonderful coloring. Nurse said I didn't need oxygen during surgery. One week after surgery I lost 3lbs. One month later I lost 10 1/2lbs. Currently at 7 weeks I've lost 18lbs. At 6 weeks out I changed my protein mix to a higher protein amount, hoping that would help me lose more. I have been swimming now for 2 weeks and feel more energized. My hips hurt alot, so can't walk very much. Well, went to my 3 months checkup at Kaiser on Sept. 13, 2005, and the scales read 261.5, my waist has gone down from 49-in. to 43-in. and my hips went from 64-in to 56-in. My weight went from 285lbs at surgery to 261.5lbs. A slow drop. My clothes is down from 3x-4x to 2x and that's starting to look too big on me. Regular size was 30-32 and now approaching size 24, since size 26 is starting to float off me.
Now, October 2006 I'm at 211lbs. wearing size 20 clothes and I'm able to wear a size large in women (though my hips make the blouse/t-size tight). So I wear an x-large clothes.
