Rob Landerholm
I first heard about Dr. Landerholm from a cousin who had her surgery at Puget Sound Surgical Center. I, like many others, had been on the weight loss rollercoaster for twelve plus years. From time to time, I would visit the PSSC website to learn about the various surgery options available. I had thought about weight loss surgery off and on many times, but was apprehensive for various reasons. One day I saw that they were participating in a yearlong weight loss study trial. I signed up right away.

I immediately fell in love with Dr. Landerholm, Dr. Billing, and Melanie Machado from Pacific Nutrition and Wellness at the orientation. Their knowledge, warmth, kindness, and laid back attitude, put me at ease and in a matter of moments, I knew that I wanted to participate. Throughout the yearlong study, the entire staff at PSSC and Pacific Nutrition and Wellness continuously showed their excellence. At the end of the study I had gained ten pounds and new that it was time to make a decision for weight loss surgery. I had read and heard wonderful things about Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and felt confident that was the right surgery for me.

On May 6th, 2010 I had my surgery with Dr. Landerholm. At a year post op, I am just as pleased with my decision. I am still amazed by his commitment to his patients, compassion, talent, and bedside manner. I myself work in the medical field, and can tell you that bedside manner doesn’t come easy, and this group of surgeons has proved otherwise. When you decide to have your surgery with Puget Sound Surgical center, you are getting a comprehensive package with the tools for a lifelong healthy journey. You will not be disappointed.
