Thursday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

OK..so I am NOT GOOD AT BLOGGING. LOL! I thought I might put a couple of pics on my profile.
These pics are not the greatest..I am sure I have more I can dig out somewhere but the first
was my heaviest taken last year on Vacation. The second is where I am now..ALSO taken on
vacation!

Hi! I am Wendy. I am a SAHM/web designer and I have 2 beautiful children.

My kids are still young and even now I cannot keep up with them! I also am very sad at not doing enough with them...we should be at the beach, the park...just going while they are still little.

Although I do try to do some of these things..my weight really gets in the way..it slows me down horribly and my oldest (6) is actually starting to get embarrassed by her "big mom". Of course, I have the same story as

many on this board. Obese as a child, teenager and then as an adult.
I did manage to get my weight somewhat under control thru my early 20's but lifestyles change as do circumstances and it was very difficult for me to maintain.

I have been thru all the qualifications for gastric bypass surgery but found that I did not want to take this step.

I recently found out my surgeon is now doing Lap Band surgery and I am a good candidate.

Since January I have lost 30lbs and will continue my current path even though I DO plan on having the lap band

surgery..hopefully within the next couple of months. My letter of medical necessity was the last thing to be submitted

and I should start my consults with the nutritionist and surgeon this month! I am excited to get this going.
