ObesityHelp

I am not good at keeping updated.  Been doing okay I guess.  I'm down 32 pounds and from a size 22 to a size 16 so guess I shouldn't complain.  But I've been having trouble eating anything.  I usually end up spitting up most of what I eat.  I didn't have my first fill because I had so much restriction and had lost a good bit of weight for the first 6 weeks.  And I still have tons of restriction, but not being able to keep much down is really worrying me.  I go back to my doctor June 4th, but surely he won't give me a fill then either because there is no way I can eat less. I would just love to eat a meal....heheh.........but I do love my band, it makes me behave.......hehehhehe......... Enough whining......it's late, going to bed.

The pain is a lot better this morning......I was able to lie in the bed for a little while last night, about six hours, and then I was ready to get back in the recliner.  But I think getting in and out of the bed helped work some of the pain out.  I've got one place that hurts over towards my left side.  The other three incisions don't hurt at all.  So, it is getting better.   I drank about 1/2 a protein shake yesterday......Can't they make these things taste better???  Any suggestions on brands or recipes???  Should I have an apetite, 'cause I don't want anything.  NOw that will take some getting use to......lol.

Hey everybody.......I'm home......well, I came home yesterday but I have been sleeping a lot.....guess the anesthesia is still in my body.  Everything went fine.  They didn't get to me until 4pm Tuesday, I was up walking at 3am.  They did my swallow test about 10 yesterday morning and Tim (dr. assistant) personally brought me a popsicle after that was over.  I only at 1/2 of it, and sipped on some water.  I ate about 4 spoonfuls of broth off of some veggie soup last night.  The pain is greater than I thought it would be, but it's seems to  be getting better the more I move around.  I had to sleep in a recliner last night, because there was just no way I could lay flat.  Today I've had 1/2 a popsicle and about 1/2 of a protein shake and sipped on water all day.  I am not hungry at all.  I did step on the scales this morning and was down 10 pounds since last Thursday, guess from all the liquids.  But I'm doing okay, just hoping this is all going to be worth it!!!  Thanks to you all for the prayers and messages.

Made it through first day of pre op liquids. I'm getting really excited.  I have enjoyed reading some of your pages.  You have all been an inspiration to me.  Thanks for all the messages and comments.  I will update when I get back home.
