Vivek Prachand, M.D., F.A.C.S.
My first impression of Dr. Prachand was that he was extremely knowledgable. He explained everything regarding WLS going into great detail each one and helping giving me better guidance on which one would best suit me. I was not rushed and he answered all questions with no hesitation. He had a very professional understanding demeanor. The office was extremely friendly and all of my calls were returned in a timely manner. The after care program that is offered at U of C is awesome. I will post more after my surgery.rnrnMy surgery (02/12/08) was a success. I was expecting 6 lapracopic incisions and only received 3. The day of surgery was a smoothe transition. The staff alerted my family when they made the first incision and was immediate in letting them know when the surgery was complete. Dr Prachand and his staff checked on me after surgery and everyone was friendly. My follow up care thus far has been excellent and I have no complaints. I would recommend the Bariatric Clinic at U of C to anyone!!

Before the beginning

4/27--- Pictures are coming soon!  I am getting so frustrated.. AARGH ... the uploading options aren't working for me. I hate staring at blank pics..... N-e-ways moving right along ....I officially moved up a few notches from being a secret viewer (lurker) to actually creating a profile... small accomplishment for a bigger victory.. YAY !! Talk to you after my first PCP appointment on 05/04. I am thinking about calling the Bariatric Wellness Center and getting a few pointers before I go see the doc. Well, thats all for now. Talk with you soon.
