Vivek Prachand, M.D., F.A.C.S.
My first impression of Dr. Prachand was that he was extremely knowledgable. He explained everything regarding WLS going into great detail each one and helping giving me better guidance on which one would best suit me. I was not rushed and he answered all questions with no hesitation. He had a very professional understanding demeanor. The office was extremely friendly and all of my calls were returned in a timely manner. The after care program that is offered at U of C is awesome. I will post more after my surgery.rnrnMy surgery (02/12/08) was a success. I was expecting 6 lapracopic incisions and only received 3. The day of surgery was a smoothe transition. The staff alerted my family when they made the first incision and was immediate in letting them know when the surgery was complete. Dr Prachand and his staff checked on me after surgery and everyone was friendly. My follow up care thus far has been excellent and I have no complaints. I would recommend the Bariatric Clinic at U of C to anyone!!

Happy Labor Day

Hey Guys,

The inches are moving out and the pounds are a tad slower. I am now 256. I am in an 18 bottom and a 14/16 top. I feel great and life is fine. ( I am choosing not to complain) Have a wonderful holiday and I will check in again soon!

Alrighty! Nothing Like A New Pic at 106 lbs down!!

Greetings All,

Okay so as I stated before. The stall is a bad memory. I am now 106lbs down. I went from 364lbs to 258. Six months ago I was wearing a size 28 bottoms and 26/28 top. I am now wearing a 14/16 top and 18 bottoms. I feel so damned good! Seriously, life is so different... this journey is amazing. I am learning new things every day. Okay so check a sistah out

The Month of August is Winding Down

Hey Guys,

The stall has left and the weight is back to moving off. I am now down 106 lbs!!! Woo-hoo. I will post some pics later today when I get home and finally return some messages. I need all of your support. I am so thankful for the friends I have made along the way. Oh, and the guy I had the spectacular date with is still being Mr. Spectacular.. so we shall see
