3 months Post Op

yesterday was my 3 month post surgiversary lol...
i feel great! im currently down 79 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no longer in a size that has a 2 infront!!!!!!!!!! started in december in a 26 and im currently in an 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can wear a juniors 2XL without having to stretch it one bit and without the print being distorted!!!
i will be starting regularly at the gym sometime this month because i cannot stand my loose flab everywhere UCK!!!
ive got less than 100 lbs to lose to meet my goal... which is something i seriously thought was never going to happen.... even just a few short months ago.
i am so happy with myself :)

This weekend I participated in Relay For Life!!
I ended up walking 12.25 miles... definetly something I could NOT have done before GBS!!!
I am very proud of myself for this :)

Post Op - 2 Months!

2 months post op was yesterday!!! I feel great! I am STILL struggling with protein intake, but am doing a lot better on getting the liquids in :) I am on Stage 5 foods now... which is the end of the stages. I can pretty much eat anything... of course with rational exceptions... sugar, fatty foods, etc. I just ate a Vita Top Muffin for breakfast and its not disagreeing with me so thats a plus. breakfast is usually my roughest part of the day. I have also discovered that i LOVE pita chips mmmmm.... plain ones are all I have gotten so far but they are so good! Dip em in hummus or guac YUMMY!!!
I have started getting my butt on the treadmill last week. Its going slowly but its going and I feel better about myself about it every time i get on. I need to do some strength training because I hate my damn fat upper arms and thighs ughhh!!!
I now have an amazing guy in my life, he cares about me and loves my son as well!! hes just adorable and makes me happy :) I have known him for almost 10 years and when were together it just feels right. :D

now on to the rest of my life :)

I AM DOWN 50 LBS SINCE DECEMBER!!


that is 1/3 of the way to my goal weight! :D 100 more to lose and ill be at my goalllll :D

Post Op - 1 Month!

well 1 month was yesterday, I meant to write a blog post then but never got around to jumping on the PC.

So 1 month post op I am down 45 lbs!! thats 26 lbs since surgery and 19 pre op!! :D I feel great most days! I am fitting into clothes that I have in a box deemed "when Im thinner" so thats pretty exciting!! Today I am wearing a shirt I was still afraid to put on because I thought it might be too tight and I didnt want to feel crappy about myself. But I put it on today and OMG it feels great to be able to wear another thing from the box!!! :D
I am also now in a size 22 pant from a 26. Though I only own 1 pair of capris in a 22 at the moment lol.

Food has been going alright, I only eat because I know I have to get the protein in.. im definetly not really ever hungry so half the time I forget to eat lunch, which i know isnt great. I have to start drinking some more protein shakes because to tell you the truth I havent had one in over a week... my protein intake is really low and I know this.
Liquids are going better, I am getting in about 2 bottles of water with crystal lite per day. or a cup of tea and a crystal lite. I KNOW i should be getting more in... but I really am working on it!!! *sigh*

Exercise.... well thats been pretty low and pretty much non existant. I have been spending a lot more time outside with X (when I am not at work) but my treadmill still stares at me nightly and I have yet to get on it post op. I really need to though because I HATE my nasty fat flabby thighs!! ickkk!!! lol I do have a coupon for a FREE week at the Ladies Workout Express so I think I might go check that out soon!!

All in all things are going well... post surgery wise anyway :)

Ive been meaning to write an entry for a few days now... so heres an update on me!!

I started Stage 4 on Tuesday and things have been going well with that. Having to chew so much is crazyyyyy, im usually a fast eater so eating this little amount of food for a half hour or more is just another world for me. But things are going well with that. I have so far eaten eggs, cottage cheese, roast beef, turkey, fish, brocolli, banana, and some shredded cheese on things. Nothing has seemed to disagree with me so far *knock on wood* so I am completely content with my decision!

As for liquids well it has been tough trying to get the amount of water/liquids in that I need. I try to keep sip, sip, sipping all day but seriously how is this even possible!! Having to stop15-30 minutes prior to eating and d30-45 minutes after eating... id need to have the bottle attached to my lips at all times. and another thing that I am not too sure of is how often I am supposed to be sipping so I wait a little between sips because I dont want to drink too much... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET ALL THIS LIQUID DOWN!!!!

I havent really started exercising yet and I know I need to get on that. I am so damn lazy sometimes I hate it. I mean the treadmill is right there in my room staring at me every day but do I get on it... no. I sit on the damn couch and watch TV. that definetly needs to stop!!! I want to help my weight loss and I dont want to have a flabby tummy and arms and thighs =/ ew!

But thats been my life this week I lost another 5.2 lbs last week which i dont think i posted about so that was exciting. Hopefully things are going well and Ill be down again about 3-5 this week!! :D

Almost to Stage 4 Foods!!!

Just went to the grocery store to get some foods in my house since I can eat again lol. Spent $120 on pouch friendly stage 4 foods!
Ground chicken, turkey and linguica (I'm portuguese I've gotta have that lol let's hope my pouch likes it)
Turkey d'light scramble bowl
Cottage cheese, pudding, sugar free ice cream, shredded cheese, sour cream, blue cheese
Refried beans, turkey chili, white chili, ingredients to make my chili
Cod fish, scallops, deli turkey and ham
Mushrooms, bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe
Low sugar oatmeal
Frozen brocolli and carrots
I have tuna and saltines already...

I can't wait to eat something lol

Post Op - 1 week!

and I am feeling pretty well today :D
i had my one week follow up with the surgeons office yesterday....
I AM DOWN 8 LBS!! woo hoo!
and the PA also said that I am looking great. my incisions are healing well and the bruises arent bad at all
all in all a great appointment and i am feeling better every day. not much else to report really except that i would kill for something thats not liquid to "eat" lol

3 Days Post Op

I finally got on a PC to be able to write anything here.
I am 3 days post op, and have been home since post op day 2. 
got home around 6/7pm that day took pain meds and went to sleep.
i was getting up every 3 1/2 hours and waiting till4 hours to take my pain meds and then go right back to sleep.
i spent the whole next day doing that. when i was awake i would eat/drink something take a vitamin and go to sleep. today i am more awakeish lol. i didnt take my pain meds all day, and god i could feel it. but it wasnt sooo horrible i am just having a lot of back pain and gas pain.
so around 6 i took another dose of pain meds and i feel better now and am able to sit here and make this post without sleeping. i just cant really think right now about what to say lol.

oh, and i want food which totally stinks. Carnation Instant Breakfasts are really good for satisfying my food want but tomato soup not so much, and this protein shake..... its alright just not what i WANT. lol

i gotta get in some more water i dont want to dehydrate, i havent had much today...
