Surgeon Testimonial

William S. Peters
I first met Dr. Peters through my sister. I went along with her to her appointment before surgery. I was very impressed with him. He took a lot of time to go over everything in detail. He explained all the risks involved with the surgery. I set up my own appointment that very day. For my first appointment he gave me reading materials and went over in depth the differences between the three surgeries he does. My "homework" was to read everything and decide which would best suit my needs. My second appointment he gave me a little quiz to see exactly how much information I had taken in. He said so that he knew what he would have to explain again. He is very personable and has a friendly, caring manner. I believe he truly enjoys watching his patients successes.

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
It was a huge roller coaster ride. I'd find a diet, lose a lot, then gain it all back and more...over and over and over. I would run the gammut of emotions from total depression that I couldn't control this one aspect of my life (I'm what's known as a type A personality. I like to be in control and analyze everything to death!, to thinking who cares...total apathy.
