My Story

 Like many, I have been heavy for most of my life. I played many sports at school including Rugby, Basketball, Swimming, Cricket and Volleyball and also played Rugby for the hometown team under 19 squad. After leaving school, all those activities stopped but the eating didn't so I gained weight quickly.
About 5 years later, American Football came to England and I joined up and played for 12 years, retiring at age 38, fat but fit (ish). 14 years and several diet attempts later, I find myself needing help. I talked to my doctor many times about WLS and finally pushed hard enough to have him give me the referral. I'm now waiting for the pyschological exam.
I'm hoping to share this journey with anyone who wants to ride along.
