I had my preop appt today.   It is November 5th at 8:15.   I am so excited.   I have no pre op liquid diet and no bowel prep.   I am so excited.    The dr said I had lost so much weight before the surgery that there would be no need for the diet.    Only thing he wanted me to do was to come home and get rid of my jar of Maxwell House Instand caffeinated coffee.   I did that as soon as I got home.    I hope this time flies by.

Here we go again.   I have my preop appt with Dr Mikimi on Monday.   Lets hope he doesn't find anything else to hold it up this time.   I had another EGD done on the 11th and the ulcer is healing.   He said rny is a go.   I am so glad.   I wasn't wanting lapband.   I am so excited.   Got to get back walking.   I took a couple weeks off.   I had a abcess tooth and it was so painful.   Now it is not as painful, but my gums and left side of my chin is numb from it.   I am calling the Dentist tomorrow and tell him I think I need another round of antibiotics.   My consult with the Oral surgeon is october 7th.    I do feel like walking again.  

Just a little set back.  Nothing major.   I was hoping to get my date for my surgery today.    Dr Mikami came in and was prepared to give me my date, but he was looking at my chart and noticed where he had done my egd in March.   He looked at my pictures of the ulcer.   It was a bad ulcer he said and he wants me to have another egd done before he proceeds with the surgery.  

If the ulcer is not healed he doesn't want to go ahead with the gastric bypass.   He wants to do the lap band instead.    I was upset when he first said that, then I just said, "Lord if you want me to have the gastric bypass then I will if it, if it is meant for me to have the lap band then so be it.    It is in Gods  hands.  

The procedure will be done Sept 11th, then we proceed from there.  

I called mom to tell her then news and she starts yelling at me saying I never told her I was having the rny procedure, that she thought  I was having the lap band.   I just told her I wasn't going to argue and fight with her.   I was going and would talk to her later.   I hung up my cell.   The call lasted all of 45 seconds.    I refuse to argue with her and I refuse to let her rain on my parade.    

Everyone pray for me that Gods will be done with this surgery.   I am ok with which ever way it goes.

Also I am down 7 more lbs.   Thats the bright side of today.

Columbus called.   I go and meet my surgeon monday for my preop appt.   I am so excited.   My life is about to change in a big way.   A new person is going to emerge.   The inner me that I have longed to be for years.  

Friday I got the clearance from the pulmonary dr for the surgery.   I tried to call my contact at OSU.    She is on vacation til thursday.   It is hard waiting that long.  

Today I got me a denim pencil skirt.    I wanted one last year, but it wouldn't fit.   I tried it on at walmart today and it fit.   That makes me feel so much better.    I am seeing progress of all the work I have done on myself this last year.
