Joseph Caruana, M.D.
I love Dr. Caruana! His staff is incredible. The first time I called his office, they were so willing to assist me in any way possible. I had some issues with my insurance where they cancelled my surgery, and Dr. Caruanas office was immediately on the phone working out the problem. The first time I met Caruana, he told me how beautiful I was, and said that I should be a model when all is said and done, how nice is that! I had my surgery on June 30, 2008. To this day I have not seen Dr. Caruana since my surgery, but Marc who does all the follow up appointments is so nice and really cares about his patients. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Caruana to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

MAY 12th I WILL BE HAVING MY SURGERY AT 2:30pm AT SISTERS HOSPITAL! I AM SO HAPPY!

ITS FINALLY HAPPENING!

Sometime in mid June of this year I will be having Open Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. Today the surgeon said that I am an excellent candidate, my insurance company should give me absolutely no problems, and they will call me on May 16th to schedule the actual date. The surgery will be done at Sisters Hospital on a Friday.



All that's left is my meeting with the nutritionist and exercise specialist, and some pre-op testing. I have been researching this since 2003, and now it's actually happening. I sat in the surgeons office parking lot crying hysterically for a good 30 minutes before I drove home, happy tears though, which is new for me.



This time next year I could be 150 lbs lighter and 150 times happier :)
