Well my story is probably going to sound like alot of the other ones. I have been overweight most of my life, well as long as I can remember I have always struggled with my weight. I was always the "cute chubby kid" or "it's only baby fat", but then it wasn't baby fat any longer. Now here I am at 37 and trying to have the Lapband surgery done. This is proving not to be an easy task to do either. I have two insurances and I can't find a doctor in my area that will accept both insurances to have the procedure covered totally and has experience in doing Lapbands. I am getting very frustrated with the loops they put you through, I qualify with the co-morbitidies but every other obstacle is being thrown in my way. If there is anyone out there who is experiencing the same thing or has gone through the same thing, maybe you could guide me. I have Medical Mutual super med plus that only covers the first $10,000 and then I have Paramount Advantage that is limiting me to Ohio. It's funny how Med Mutual will only cover $10,000 but they cover all of my diabetes and high blood pressure medication and have been doing so for years, It's just all backwards. Well wish me luck on my long journey to get an approval!
