My Story

Officially decided to go through with GB surgery. About five years ago I went with a friend to look into the logistics, cost, physical and mental challenges involved with WLS. At that time I was not terribly far from my weight goal and decided that I did not need the surgery because I could exercise and eat healthy as I had done most of my life.

After several years of unsuccessful programs and tools that I was not able to stick with, as well as gaining an additional 100 lbs, I am ready to take control and use the ultimate tool to reduce my weight and regain a healthy lifestyle. I am scared about excess skin, surgery complications, and adjustments. The road to success is daunting, since I will have to rely on myself for success when I have not been successful with other tools.

I have been going to support meetings at Dr. Todd's office and the meetings are inspiring and informative. I hope to learn as much as I can to gain the power, knowledge, faith, and determination needed to achieve a healthy self.
