I had heard from many people how wonderful Dr Heydari is. Believe me, it is true. He is so caring and kind and explained everything so well. His bedside manner is #1 also. If you have a chance to have him as a surgeon, go for it! My lap RNY only took 48 minutes! I am 1 week out and doing great. He is just the best.

    I talked to Sue the day of surgery. She said she was in pain from the drain, but she sounded good considering. Don't quote me, but I thought she said the surgery only took 47 minutes. (THere are two surgeons that tag team the surgery)

Surgery 6 days ago

Had my RNY 12/12.  Doing great, but will sure be glad to have the drain and staples out tomorrow.  Am really missing sleeping on my side, also.
I am doing really better than I thought I would.  Everything abut the hospital was fine, except for the experience after I was in the room--roommates!  AAAAGH!  No wonder people usually go home the next day!

Got a date!

Finally, got a date!  My surgery was to have been Nov 21, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they got cancelled.  Through a friend, I saw Dr Heydari, of Woodstock and  Crystal Lake.  I really liked his way of doing things.  After a mix up w/his secretary in sitting on my insurance papers for 3 weeks, I got approved, and got a date!!  WOOHOO!!  December 12!!  I go this Friday 11/24, for testing.  I'm psyched!!
