My sister in law just had GBS and sugge sted I come on and give you guys an update. Around 2012 I was not keeping my food down and the follow up Dr here, Dr Guske (WONDERFUL MAN), went in and stretched the opening between the stomach and intestines. Weight went back up to around 150. Early 2017 I did finally have 2 Iron infusions, due to the iron defiancy anemia. My weight had dropped to 130. Since then, I have been sober 11mos. and my weight is stable at #160.

Carla, congratulations on your success, and your new home! I really appreciated the details you included in your surgery experience, and the descriptions of your journey for the first year post-surgery. I am having surgery (insurance willing) in Weston FL on 9/19/03, and your profile helps me feel a bit better about what to expect (good & bad.) Carla...sorry to hear you are having some struggles. I imagine you are tired of soup and grits by now. I hope that the 80lbs you have lost help make this a little easier to handle. Glad that you keep hanging in there.

OMG, Carla Your email to me was the best in the world. I am so proud you are on your feet and back amoung us. Congratulations on your weight loss. I know you went through hell and back to get there.
