My journey was a VERY quick one.  I started thinking about LapBand seriously in Dec. 07.  I met with the surgeon the middle of Feb. 08, and my surgery was March 19, 2008!  It was a whirlwind of appointments, etc., and I would not change a thing!

My first appointment for a fill was 6 weeks post op on the 1st of May.  At this appointment I found out that I had 2cc's in my band already (I had no idea), and he put 2cc's more in.
4cc's in my 10cc AP Standard band.

My second fill appointment was on May 30th.  He added 2cc's more.  So I am at 6cc's in my 10cc AP Standard band.

My third fill appointment was on June 26th.  He added 1cc more to bring me up to 7cc's in my 10cc AP Standard band.

My fourth fill appointment was on August 28th.  He added .3cc for a grand total of 7.3cc's in my 10cc AP Standard band.  I do not go back to see my surgeon until December.

My fifth fill appointment was on December 4th.  He added another .3cc, my band now contains 7.6cc's.  I have a 10cc AP Standard band.  My doctor said that he has seen some good success in his lapband patients that he sees on a monthly basis, and asked if I would like to come in every month.  I said that I would love too.  I am getting very close to my goal weight, and perhaps the added incentive of going and weighing in every month will give me the kick I need.  I also asked him about any kind of waiting period before having plastic surgery to remove any excess skin.  He said that if I was at my goal (normal BMI) that I would not have to wait, but that if I decided to stop losing short of that normal BMI, that I would have to maintain that weight for 3 months before I could have plastic surgery.  I think that I can live with that.  ^_^

I love my BAND!
