Hi Sylvia, How are you feeling these days? I'm so glad you came through the surgery so well and was glad to see your messages on the board. Don't forget, even though at times you will feel badly, and as your body gets used to it's new tummy you might have some episodes of nausea and vomiting, you will re-learn quickly and soon you will be feeling terrific. By about 8 weeks out I felt like a completely healed human again. Keep us all updated on how you're doing. {{{HUGS}}}

I'm 5 days post op open RNY today and I'm feeling better and better everyday. My most precious angel (Michael Garrison) came to see me while I was in the hospital. We had such a good visit. He brought me a huge "care package" full of all the good things I'll be needing to start my journey. Michael, thank you so much for being there for me. I would like to take a minute to tell everyone who signed my page THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. It really means alot to know so many nice people have taken time to send their best wishes. When I'm able to be at the computer more, I will send thank you's to you all. My best to all of you...

It is good to hear that your surgery went well. I hope you have a speedy recovery and also hope the rest of your journey is full of success. Congratulations, you are on the losing side.

Talked to Sylvia on the phone...she's still sounding great! She underwent her gastrograffin leak test -- no leaks found, so she gets to move to clear liquids tonight, and better yet, she's clear for discharge tomorrow!

I just got back from seeing Sylvia at Trinity Medical Center -- she's doing great!! She's not in much pain at all, and has been up walking three times since surgery. Her color looks good, and she's in wonderful spirits! She expects her barium swallow test will happen sometime on Thursday, and if all goes well, she may get discharged on Friday!

Sylvia's surgery started a little late, but everything went well, and after a 2 1/2 hour stay in the Recovery Room, she's made it to her room. I spoke to her husband, who said that Sylvia's doing good -- she's been awake, and the morphine pump is helping her pain level. From November 2001 to May 2003, she fought to have this surgery, and she won the battle!!

In all things Remember,that the one above loves you,that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you,that you be given strength, endurance,love,peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room,know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
