I often hear of people losing 100 lbs by 6 months.  At the rate I am going I don't think there is any possible way for me.  I am about 6 weeks out and am only at about 28 lbs down in my weight.  I am frustrated when I read that and think what am I doin

I have seen people posting in several places that they use zucchini noodles for pasta style dishes.  Where are you able to buy these?

Well I had my surgery on Wednesday Jan 6 and came home yesterday.  I feel amazing and can't believe I just had major abdominal surgery this week.  I am not going to lie, the first 24 hours I was really wondering if I had made a mist

Well I have almost finished my last day of Optifast and heading to Toronto for my pre op and surgery tomorrow.  Just a bit excited.

I will let you know how I make out but feeling very positive.

I am not a great broth person but I discovered a product called "Better than Bouillon"  three flavours a wonderful roast chicken stock (15 calories), beef (10 calories) and a veggie base (10 calories).

Do you know if the vagus nerve is cut during surgery.  I am having my surgery at TEGH with Dr. Aarts.  Just wondering if this was routine or not.  I have read about both ways with or without severing the vagus nerve.

I received a phone call today from Dr. Aart's office asking me if I want to move my surgery up to January 6th instead of January 19th. Of course I do!!!! Good bye turkey dinner but very happy to have my surgery moved forward.

I had my surgical consult with Dr. Aart today (Toronto East General) and my gastric bypass booked for January 19.  I am very excited and can't believe how quickly this process has gone.

I went to my pre surgical orientation today in Kingston and I will have my surgery at the Toronto East General with Dr. Aarts.  I meet with the surgeon on Dec 4 and will get a surgical date that day.  OMG, I am excited and scared.

I will be having my surgery at Toronto East.  Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not they do surgery between Christmas and New Years?
