Located in Minnesota. 25 years old. I have been over weight since I was about 10 years old. I had my tonsils and adnoids removed and then the weight gain began. It has been an ongoing struggle to lose weight. I seen a dietician when I was 12. I tried playing soccer for a few years to be more active, I raced fourwheelers for 3 years also but then go in a bad accident and got a bad concussion and injured my lower back and knee so I had to stop. In 2006 my dad almost died while he was drinking and driving and it put me in a huge funk. I was very depressed and hated myself. Food was my comfort and it ruined me.  I was about 230lbs when I was in 8th grade. I was bullied so much I harmed myself and wanted to drop out. Drugs and alcohol came in the picture with myself and my brother which messed up my care for myself. High school was okay but the bullying still happened. After I graduated the weight gain kept on and I tried gym memberships, relied on medications and also starving myself. In 2011 my mom got laid off from her really good job which took a big toll on my family and caused my parents to fight and I turned to food to comfort me. In 2014 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and it really hit me hard. I had to completely switch my schedule at work, I drove her to every single appointment, I was there for every surgery and radiation and through all the mental heartbreaks. Once again food was my comfort. (She is now almost 3 years cancer free) In 2015 I was in my first car accident which I was rear ended at 45mph and had severe whiplash and injured my upper and lower back. I went through PT and chiropractic care and almost 3 years later I am still recovering. I went to college to become a CNA to try something new and help people because it's what I love doing. In June 2016 I had a bad injury to my shoulder from work and ended up leaving my job after being on work comp for 3 months because I couldn't help the residents.

Fast track to now:I now have a desk job where I sit for 8 hours a day because it is a lot easier on my body which my doctor, lawyer and I have thought very long about. I have gained about 60lbs in a year because of my injuries from my car accident and my old job. I have an amazing boyfriend by my side who has helped me love myself and has been huge support system for me. My family is stronger then ever. I moved out of my parents and in with my boyfriend. I went to my doctor to see if there was something to help with losing weight because nothing was working and I hit 300lbs which I never wanted to do. That was my breaking point. He recommended me to Bariatric Surgery in March 2017. I  have then been working on dieting and excersizing but of course I platue with my weight and then it goes up. So since March I have lost 15lbs only.
