My Suit fit and I wore jeans!!!

Dec 12, 2016

So I had to announce the beauty walk for the High School this weekend and did as I usually do and the best thing was that my suit actually buttoned!  I had to purchase this particular suit a couple years ago because the suits I owned had gotten so tight that I could not wear them anylonger.  It was very frustrating.  Considering I was once lifted weights and have large thighes anyway, add the fat from gaining weight and pants have been an issue.  I knew the suit would fit I just wasn't sure how well.  Let me tell you, it actually looked a little too big!   I wore this suit to a wedding Oct 22 of this year and the jacket would not button!  Friday night not only did it button but there was pleanty of room to spare! I got so excited that I got out an older suit that I loved but had to quit wearing and the jacket actually fit!  I mean hey it was a little tight but man I can see the pounds and inches going away!  My other great thing was I actually wore jeans for the first time in prob three years and they didn't hurt or kill me they actually felt good.  So things are going great.  Still eating mainly shakes and some veg.  Meat for some reason is making me nausous.

Here we are folks and I'm 23 days post op and have also been quitting smokeless tobacco at the same time.  The struggle with the tobacco is real the food is not.

Eating!

Dec 06, 2016

Well one of the thing I have found to be an issue is actually eating.  I just don't have the urge and find myself making myself eat food.  I know I have to have it for the protein but since the surgery I just don't find food appealing.  It's like I don't know.  Good thing is I don't have the urge to sit around and just flat out eat.  No chip binges or coming home late and grabbing two little debbie cakes and a glass of milk.  I'm feeling great but looking at eating as a chore kinda sucks.  I hope this gets better later on and it may be that I just can't eat some things yet and this will also pass. Anyway still feel like this is the best decision I have made and seeing results is great!

What's 30lbs?

Nov 29, 2016

Been trying to get a blog to post for a couple of days and it hasn't worked.  I wanted to say how great this surgery has been for me so far.  I'm 12 days out and have done great.  Dropping weight left and right and the hunger is no big deal.  I actually feel like I forget to eat sometimes.  There are times I get a crave for a taste but it goes rather quickly.  I got tired of all the sweetness of the foods I was eating and still feel nauseated when having to eat some protein powder stuff just because its all sweet to me.  In two days I get to eat some "real"food  chicken or ham something that will be great.  Let me tell you what 30lbs means.  It means you don't wake up with your back feeling like it's breaking in half.  It means that your clothes are fitting looser and you see a little light coming through.  It means climbing stairs while not enjoyable yet isn't as tough.  30 lbs means that you are on your way.

Post Surgery

Nov 20, 2016

Day 4 post up and I'm hanging in There. Some of my Iv meds didn't work well together so I stayed an extra night in the hospital. But being at home has been good.  Looking forward to the day I can put something other than liquid in my mouth lol.
