Evelyn, I am so sorry that you are having such a horrible time. I will be praying for your total healing. I will be praying for a speedy recovery and that you will be able to eat and drink on your own very soon. Rest assured as you walk this walk you will be able to look back past the pain and the complications and be thankful that you had this surgery. Don't let this setback stand in your way. You are going to be just fine. Best wishes to you.

Hi Evelyn, I was sorry to read about you problems with your surgery. I also had my spleen removed during my gastric bypass due to severe bleeding (I lost 8 units of blood). My lap RNY was converted to an open procedure at that time. I spent 2 days in ICU and 9 days in the hospital. I sympathize with you and am wishing and praying for your healing during this time. Please take care of yourself, and realize we do understand and we do care. With love, Traci (post-op 6-2-03)

Hi Evelyn, I'm glad to hear that you're on your way to recovery. I hope it goes more smoothly from here on out. We missed you at this months support meeting at St. Margarets. I didn't know that your surgery date was the 12, I would have come to see you in the hosp. after the meeting. Keep your chin up, you will start to feel better soon. I'm here for you if you need to ask questions or just talk. Good luck to you and congratulations and welcome to the losing side.
