NSV's!

I had some wonderful NSV's yesterday!  I bought some new tops because size XL is too big for me.  I went back to the same store in the mall as last time...can't think of the name, and every single size Large top fit, and fit nicely; not tight at all, anywhere. Plus the top I wanted last month but couldn't afford was on sale so I bought it.

Then I went to the Walmart to get some more legging style capris because most of mine are getting too big.  I decided to try on a pair of pants in the same style that I used to wear pre-op.  My pre-op size was 24-26.  So I figured I should fit into an 18 now so grabbed them.  Tried them on.  WAY too big, as in, they fell down.  So I grabbed a 16.  Too big.  I was in a sort of daze when I went to get a size 14, not believing they'd ever fit...and they fit, perfectly.  NOT at all tight. I almost cried.  I once lost weight and went down to a size 14 for about 2 minutes, over 20 years ago, but before that, it had been years since I could fit into that size.

My normal size as a teenager and young adult was a 9, until I took my first teaching job in Moosonee in 1989 and went from size 9 to size 22 in one school year, courtesy of high daily doses of prednisone. I was able to lose down to size 14 but never saw a size 9 again, and my weight yo yoed up and down ever since that year.  Then in the past 10 plus or more years, it just got higher and higher...until surgery, that is .

So I am now back to wearing my lowest ever adult size since that first big weight gain, a 14.  It was my 6 month surgiversary on Aug. 1st, last week.  I never EVER would have believed that I would see such drastic changes in 6 months; OMG.  This is so incredibly amazing!  I'm so happy. 

I also tried on a cute dress but didn't get it as I couldn't find a slip to wear under it.  I haven't worn a dress in ages, so may go back to get it.
