35 Weeks Post Op, Size 12; woohoo!

Oct 05, 2017

Hello!

My weight is playing tricks on me, lol.  I had dropped down to 185 for 3 days, which was wonderful, but then on my weigh in day (yesterday) I got on the scale and it had jumped up to 187.2, giving me a mere 0.2 Lb loss for the week, for a total of 116.8 Lbs.

BUT...the NSV's have been amazing.  After I wrote my last blog post, I went for a 3 hour walk and also did some shopping.  Our local Sears store was closing down, it was the last day it was open, and even though the store was practically empty, I managed to find two pairs of pants in size 12.  I didn't think they'd fit yet but hoped I'd shrink into them, and since it was the last hour of the store's existance, they were marked down to 95% off.  So I bought them both.

After that I headed to Walmart to get something and decided to try on the same pants I was wearing, one size down, as the 14's were loose. So I tried on the 12's, and they fit!  I was so excited I was jumping around, lol.

Now, even though those size 12's fit, I never expected the Sears size 12's to fit becuase the Walmart pants have a stretch waist band and the Sears size 12's had zippers, plus one pair were skinny jeans, the other were dress pants, and neither had any give to the fabric.  BUT, they fit too!  I was ecstatic!  I am ecstatic, lol.  I can't remember the last time I fit size 12; I think it was the year I gained all of the weight in the first place, and went from a size 9 to a size 22.  Since then, the lowest I've managed to get was size 14.  I'm in 12 now; woohoo!  It feels soooo great!

So, I've gone from a very tight size 24W to a regular size 12 in the same brand of pants...which means I'm half the size I was when I started this journey!  That is sooo exciting.

I also was able to go down a size in my bra and panties, which was great!

I also bought a few new tops (one size medium, one size large), some leggings, a pretty dress, and a new jacket for the cooler weather.

I can't believe that my size suddenly dropped to the next size down, expecially since I've only lost 1 Lb in the past 3 weeks, lol, but I'll take it.

It's sunny today, but too windy for a bike ride, so I'm going to go for a walk or hike instead.  Tomorrow I have to go get my stitches taken out, and hopefully get the results of those biopsies.  After the stitches are out, I'll be able to start swimming at the pool again which is great, as it's the activity I prefer on rainy days.
