My Pre-Op Clearance

Can I just say that this was the worst of the worst. Okay so I had booked my Pre-op Clearance last month with my regular provider but this month my Metroplus insurance had change and to my luck she doesn't take that insurance talk about decisions. Okay so I'm broke and I can not pay for the visit I go back to my old provider who does take insurance and so happen she had an available appointment on the same day but earlier. Okay so I'm okay I got a call a few days before saying that unfortunately the provider won't be there but I can still see another provider. I said well I have't been there in a while but I have all my paperwork and I need a clearance as long as they can do I will go. The manager said yes. Told me to come an hour earlier to get prepped and blah blah blah. Mind you I get there and was it full house, but I don't care I know that place gets like that. So I waited an hour and had to put 1.00 for an hour in the meter went back got called to get prepped was asked why I was there and got my vitals taken. Mind you they all know I am there for that waited another hour had to go back and put another 1.00. Okay waited and waited and another hour and there we go 3.00 meter. Which I am okay I was like fine I am getting my clearance that's all that matter. When I finally get called in by the way with another provider who I guess is her assistant she sits me askes me why I was there and I told her, looks at me like I was dumb and was like well I don't know you. huh?????? Okay I told her I had all my clearances with me cardio, pulmonary, GI, X-ray, 1st blood work I did, PFT, EKG and anything else she needed mind you I know for a clearance you just need EKG and Blood work. Not get to know me. My chart is there regardless that I wasn't there ina bit. But whatever she continues to ask me where I was getting it done and where do I normally get seen and if I had an updated blood work and I said yes we just have to call the medical assistant and we will get it. She hands me the card with the fax and says call them and I said no. You called them because now by this time I only had 5 more mins before my meter is up and my phone was off and all I got from her was a stand off person someone who was more concerned about herself then her patients. But anyways she calls speaks to the MA of my bariatric doctor and get her to fax over the blood work she looks at the letter that she needs to type up for me and forget she goes nope I'm not doing this my signature matters and I don't know you and I won't do it. HUH?????? I said what do you need to get to know because all I need is this clearance and obviously I have everything you need to clear me. She gets up and says who told you I can do this I told her I spoke to the manager when I was told my provider wasn't going to be here and I explain why I was coming and was told I could get this done here. She leaves comes back hands me all the papers and said sorry but I'm not doing this. I'm not putting my signature on a paper for you. I got upset I told her off because 3 hrs and not get anything done not telling me from the beginning. Then I said I want to speak to the manager and it took the manager a few to come out and she came and told me to relax that if I was willing to go to the Bronx location tomorrow that my actual provider will clear me and I left. I went today in the morning waiting 30 min to be seen explain it to her and got cleared. I had already typed the sample letter and emailed it to the manager from the Bronx location because It probably would have been an issue also so she wouldn't have to do it but copy and paste and fix a few things. She did it, faxed it and now I am completely done. Just waiting on insurance submission and approval. Had to take a deep breath and completely let it out.
