"Dr. Schauer saved my life. I was 473# had sleep apnea, high blood pressure and could not walk for long periods of time. He was at UPMC in Pittsburgh PA, when I consulted with him. My main concern being my morbid obesity. I asked if he'd lost patients my size and he said yes. But they had contributing health issues. Another concern was infection and wanted laproscopic surgery. He was so caring and patient. I had my RNY done Lap in 2 stages due to my size and amount of fat and previous scar tissue. I cried when he moved to Cleveland."
