3 Easy Ways to Reset your SLEEVE

Apr 19, 2016

Do you have times when you feel that your sleeve has stretched or is not working as well as it should? Maybe you are eating too many "Slider" foods.  You know the ones that go down easy.  Bread, Pasta, Rice, Cookies, Candy, Etc?  How could your life be different if you didn't eat sugar?

I have heard members posting questions and answers on how to reset their SLEEVE.  I personally, did not wish to go back to protein drinks for a day or two only to return to my old habits soon after.  I had no idea that I would hit upon the answer for myself.

I was sleeved 11/6/2015.  I lost some weight, but my old eating habits began to emmerge again and FAST! I was consuming large amounts of sugar, which brought about all kinds of symptoms. The obvious was weight gain, nausea and feeling generally bad about myself.

Then I made the decision to quit eating sugar using a few tricks I have perfected in my experience as a long time, weight loss coach. Quitting sugar was difficult, but after just a few days, I began experience the rewards and some very ASTONISHING facts!  The most ASTONISHING FACT was that my SLEEVE seemed to automatically reset itself.  I could eat very little of the healthy foods.  Raw fruits, vegetables, turkey, and chicken, to name a few I discovered were "Self Limiting".  It was impossible to overeat on healthy, unprocessed foods, I soon discovered.

3 Easy Steps to Reset Your Sleeve and be SUGAR FREE

  1. Ask yourself what is it that you no longer wish to TOLERATE about eating sugar?   Ask these types of questions to yourself: What are the cons for sugar? What is eating sugar robbing you of? How much time have you spent in the sugar?  Obsessing? Dieting? Struggling? What are the health consequences?  Diabetes? Rotted Teeth? Body Fat and Inflammation?  How would your life be different if you were stop eating sugar over the next year?Would you lose weight?  Would your dentist check-ups be better?  Would you have better general health?  More energy?

2.  Make a decision that you want to quit.  Now you get to TAKE ACTION!  It takes 3 weeks to break a habit and another 3 weeks to recreate a new one.  Then it takes about 90 days total to become getting the new conditioning imprinted.  For every day after that you are sugar free, you will get stronger and stronger.  I have been free from cigarettes for decades.  Today I consider myself a non-smoker.  That is my new identity that today is me!  I used to be a sugar-freak, today I am sugar free!

3. Take these steps to break the habit for good:

  • Get a buddy for support.
  • Segment your day in about 3 hour segments.
  • Text to your buddy the following:  I have been free from sugar for 3 hours.  I will commit to staying free from sugar for the next 3 hours.
  • Pray to the God of your understanding the following: God, help me to be sugar free for the next 3 hours.
  • Set the timer on your phone for 3 hours for the next 3 hour segment.
  • Repeat the process until you have made it through the first 3 weeks.  This will help you to stop the old pattern/habit quickly so that you can CONDITION yourself for fast results.

Studies have shown that sugar can cause countless issues known and unknown that are harmful to the human body.Sugar can inflame the tissues which gives the skin a pasty, bloated appearance. If you want to put it to the test, simply take a picture of yourself the morning after a sugar or food binge. Then refrain from all sugar for just 1 week.  The after picture comparison can be astonishing.  If you can go 3 weeks, the results will be even more astonishing.  I personally have noticed that skin looks more refreshed, youthful and glowing.

Sugar is also quite addicting.  I notice when I eat sugar, I want more.  It reminds me of the time when I quit smoking several years ago.  I was ok as long as I didn't have another puff.  The moment I had a puff off a cigarette, it wasn't long before I was back to smoking like a fiend again. My rule for quitting smoking was that I could never have even just 1 puff.  My son had a cigarette addiction for a few years and applied the same idea that I had used.  He said he remembered me saying that I could never take another puff, if I wanted to quit for good.  This is what he did as well to quit his cigarette addiction for good.

By applying this same idea to eating sugar I have been able to live a sugar free life.  As long as I abstain from sugar, I have no problem.  The moment I eat it, I have to have it all the time. My mind actually becomes obsessed with the idea of sugar.  It may be as addicting as cigarettes. I have heard it been said that sugar addiction is equal to a crack addiction.

This works!!
