I called Marcia around noon today just as she was getting ready to leave. She sounded great! It has sure encouraged me. I hope I sound half that good after I finally have my surgery. Way to go! Here's to a life full of losses and success. Thanks for your encouragement.

HOORAY, I just spoke with Marcia and she sounds great. I think she was more concerned about me!!! She sure is enjoying those ice chips. Everyone drop in with a word of encouragement. And cheer her on as she celebrates her new life.

Unofficial Angel flying in - I spoke with Marcia nurse and was told that marcia came out of surger about 4:30pm She did fine. I'm going to let her rest for tonight, but will try and talk with her tomorrow. Keep her in your prayers and she embarks on her journey to health.

Temp Angel with droopy wings limping in . . . Even thought Marcia and I won't be able to share this experience together (My surgery was canceled 15 minutes before surgery) I will try to keep you updated on Marcia's condition. I didn't stay around to see her arrive because I figured my crying, depressed state of mind where not what she needed at the time. I have spoken with her husband and she went into surgery around 1:15 this afternoon. I will report back later as soon as I find out anything.

Marcia, Best of luck with the start of your fantastic journey. Dr. Lane was my surgeon almost 6 months ago, and I think he's wonderful! No complications and down 100 lbs! Remember that walking makes everything better and keep pushing that PCA button. The first couple of days are not fun, but things get much, much better quickly. I'll keep you in my thoughts, but I know you're in good hands. Claire p.s. A great roommate really does make the experience easier, so it sounds like you're all set! =)
