Hi Everyone, it has been 4 weeks since my surgery and everything has gone okay. I have lost 27 pounds and people say they can tell. I have had some small problems, I had no appetite and could not get fluids down me. Part of the problem was the after taste of the vitamins. My mouth tasted metallic all the time, even with me brushing my teeth. On my visit to Dr. Boe, he told me about a new vitamin from Centrum to try. I have yet to get out and find them. Things are a bit better, went into a small bit of depression, but am looking at things a bit brighter now. Am tring to push myself each day, since I return to work in two weeks. Am venturing out with the new foods, also. Well that's it for now. Thankyou to all who have supported me with notes and emails, especially Art Johnson. Talk with you again.

Dear Sharyn, I believe that 9/10ths of every thing that works due to a great additude and positive outlook. In just 1 1/2 more days, you will be beginning a whole new life. Congrats!!! I know you are nervous and excited at the same time. If we can survive all of the stuff for insurance, all the letters that have to be written, and all the appointments to go thru pre-op, the surgery should be easy after all that is said and done. It will be smooth sailing from here on out, for me to have the surgery in less than 2 weeks, and you 1 1/2 days. It really does help to reach out and think positively. I have made myself an inspirational tape and I have been going thru books like 2 or 3 a week. Please keep us updated about your surgery, and feel free to email me if you need to talk. God Bless and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Mary Western Conway, SC Pre-op 284 BMI 43 Surgery Date 7/8/02
