Hi Cathi, You said that you are hoping to have the surgery so I was wondering if you have a doctor in your area that will do the surgery or is it because you have to wait for insurance approval? If I may ask what kind of insurance do you have. I have heard about some of the different insurance and maybe could tell you if you might encounter a problem with them. I myself have Medica and I did not have to go through the process of getting approval I was told that I had the good insurance and so when I left my doctor office I had the date of my surgery when I left and that was a big relief for me. I am in the staples area and I am going to park rapids for the WLS and have been told that I have a terrific doctor and that this is all he does now and that the hospital and him were given some star approval from the state or something. So I have relax a little and now am getting excited about the date. I hope things work out for you. Good Luck and hope to see you on the losing side also.
