Hi all, Barbara here. Well, it has been a year and a month since my RNY. I am doing fantastic!!!! I can't beleive the change in me both physically and mentally. I love life and live every day to the fullest! I am down from 300 to 156 and loving every moment. I had a goal weight of 160 but I would love to get back down to my old weight of 145. I have been doing wonderful considering that being in a wheelchair keeps me from doing much exercise but it hasn't seemed to had a bad effect on me at all. I feel like a kid again. That means that I am 57 going on 21~ I hope anyone having this surgery has the same wonderful results. Best to all and thank you for all your comments.

Good MORNING fellow October BABY!!!! - and an early Happy ONE YEAR Re-birthday to you!!! I’ll be in sunny Las Vegas for a week so I wanted to send you early salutations! I found this quote and just love it! When running up a hill, it’s alright to give up as many times as you wish – as long as your feet keep moving. By - Shoma Morita M.D. I can only imagine that your experience has been wonderful. Full of changes and new experiences. Congratulations to YOU!!! If you have an opportunity and/or haven’t already, please stop by and update your profile! We’d all love to know how well you’ve progressed!!! If you have a few moments, please take the time to send well wishes to your fellow “re-birthday” buddies!!! It’s a great boost to them as well as yourself. I'd also like to invite you to participate in the October 2003 message board. We do have activity and enjoy hearing from our peers! Have a FANTASTIC DAY! RNY 10/31/03 down 121 pounds and at GOAL!!! -

Surgery went better than I expected. Thank you to my angel in Minneapolis, my angel in Rochester and others who gave me support. My Doctor was great and did a wonderful job as did his nurse and the rest of the team. Care at the hospital was great too! I am home recovering nicely in spite of some general discomfort. Can't wait until I can notice that I am a loser!
