Well, I am back out of the hospital again and trying to get back on my feet. It has been 8 months and I have lost appox. 190 pounds. They have finally decided that I am adrenal insufficent and they tell me that this is the main reason that I have been so sick. But, now I am on so much medication and eating myself out of house and home it isn't funny. The strange thing is, I am still losing weight, even though I am intaking nearly 1500 calories a day. I didn't think I would ever say this, but I wished the weight loss would slow down a bit. My body has been through an enormous adjustment and I almost died last month. The Dr.s just aren't sure how much more I can take. I am grateful for the weight I have lost and will continue to take one day at a time. God bless you all.

Hello everyone. It is me and I am almost 6 months post op (05-29-01). I had a little complication in Sept. and had to have my gall bladder out. I just never seemed to recover and was put back in the hospital in Oct. because I was starving. Well, they determined that I had caught Hepatitus A and Mono sometime in the last few months. No wonder I could not get over the open gall bladder surgery. I am happy to say that I have lost 150 pounds. Down from 430 pounds to 280 pounds as of yesterday. I am still having some issues and trying to get over these viral infections. They have diagnosed me with nuropothy in both legs which surprised me and it is very painful. I am doing much better and feel like I have turned the corner. I am out of a 5x shirt and put on my first sweatshirt that was a 2x just the other day. Boy did that feel good. God bless everyone and Happy Holidays.
