Hi Melissa, You have every right to feel tired! You are depriving your body of the nutrients & calories it has become accustom to! I had my surgery on 3/4/03 & for the first week home I was totally energyless! Once I got off the clear liquids I started to feel much better. It gets better & better every day. Don't worry about getting in workouts, just concentrate on walking! I walked around the house the first week & then got on a treadmill for about a quarter mile..very slowly. Last week I started walking a mile a day, very fast. Take it slow....don't do too much too soon! If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them! Take care of yourself!

Melissa! Hi. Just saw your post and wanted to say hang in there. I go April 23rd for my surgery. I also wanted to tell you that my frind Tim had his surgery last yr so I bug him nad his wife alot with questions. He told me that he was knocked on his butt (very tired) for about 6 weeks after his surgery but now he is feeling great. Everyone is different and it also depends on your support at home. He had great support from his wife (she says its HARD tho.) But they both survived and He's feeling and looking great. Hang in there, you are in my prayers! jamie
