Hi Cindy!!! You are on your way!! I know this is a scary and exciting time for you. You are going to do just fine!!! Just think, You are starting a journey that only a few travel. You should be very proud of yourself. I am proud of you!!!! Think of some of the new things you will be able to do like take a long bike ride, get on a amusement park ride and not worry if you will fit in the seat, cross your legs and the best of all have the energy to do these things!!! Everything will be just fine and know you have a wonderful group of people here to help you meet your needs. The best of luck on your surgery with a speedy and healthy recovery!! Cindy~~ One more thing. I didn't have to have the psych eval or many other tests. I have talked to several people who haven't either. It is probably just a surgeons preference based on your personal history. WE WILL BECOME BIG LOSERS TOGETHER!!

Hey Cindy!! We are scheduled for the same surgery date, and I am right down the road in Georgia. Believe me, I know where you are coming from with the nerves. My PCP recommended the surgery to me, got an appt quick and the approval 2 weeks later. I thought," Gosh this was easy, I will probably die in surgery now, or have major complications." I try to remind myself every day that this is a good thing. I am trying my best to keep positive thoughts, but sometimes my nerves get the best of me. If you get nervous before, e-mail me. We are on exactly the same time frame after all. Only difference, I am having Open RNY. I thin we will both be fine, and very happy with the results. Good luck with you surgery and recovery.
