Well it has almost been 8 months, and in those 8 months I have lost 85 lbs. I have not had any problems at all. I can eat what I want, just not alot. My scar is fading, but I am proud of it.. It's my battle scar. A battle that I am winning every day.. I am proud of my choice to have weight loss surgery.. I tell anyone who will listen... My neighbors, the cashier, anyone with a ear.. Most reactions are positive.. Those that are not, I just figure they don't have a clue and it doesn't matter anyway! God has truely Blessed me with this surgery and this site and all of you! May you all win your war!

Katrina, Thank you sooo much for your kind words and prayers. I really do appreciate them. I am also so glad you surgery was a success. I always knew April 12th was a good day, that is my oldest child's birthday!! I hope to join the site you mentioned, as I don't see many of us on here who have the VBG, and I would like to have as much information as possible. Talk to you soon. Your AMOS sister, Nickie

Angel reporting for duty....I went and saw Katrina in the hospital today and she is doing very well. They took her NG tube and foley out today and she is up and walking (and of course enjoying the morphine pump....as we all did:) Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
